The Jellophile One of the first things I did when I got Internet access was participate in some cooking and recipe discussions. I've also put my World-Famous Margarita Jell-O Recipe on the net, first by setting up a mailbot to intercept and answer any email with a certain subject line, and later by setting up a web page called the Jellophile with all of my various alcoholic and non-alcoholic Jell-O/gelatine recipes.
My Other Recipe Files One of the most-frequently asked questions on the EAT-L mailing list, at least when I was active, was "What's the recipe for those garlic cheese rolls at Red Lobster?" This is where you'll find some of our favorite recipes for cookies and chili and other delights.

Then a friend of mine at the office bought and brought in a CD player, so I decided I'd start my own CD collection. After all, I didn't need to invest in the CD player right away - I could accumulate tunes instead, and buy the unit when I was good and ready.

Fandom as a Time-Consuming Passion From July 1994 to November 1996 I ran the Fan Publicity Department for L.A.con III, the 1996 Worldcon. There were basically two subdepartments, and I was in charge of both of them. First, there's printing up and mailing out flyers and ads and notices and so forth; second, there's our Internet presence.
Unfinished Projects Organization Who among us doesn't have some unfinished business? On some of the crafting newsgroups they were talking about an imaginary organization for Unfinished Projects. I thought it would be neat to make up some patches for this mythical group. (Page started in 1995. The patch remains an Unfinished Object.)
Who am I when I'm not on-line? I'm still myself, mostly. My day job has me working for a company in Irvine that makes high-security access control systems. I used to spend a fair amount of my leisure computer time trying to Save the Lemmings.
In September 1995, I lost use of one eye, one or two hands, and my back. The whole harrowing story is online. Fortunately it has a happy ending.
